Supporting scholarships: transforming lives
Philanthropy has played a vital role in supporting our students from the very beginning, when Quintin Hogg made his educational endowment to establish the Regent Street Polytechnic. We remain dedicated to making it possible for outstanding students who could not access higher education without our help to realise their potential.
Today, about 760 students at our University benefit from scholarships every year. Around a quarter of this support comes from philanthropic sources.
However, because of a lack of funds we have to turn away at least a further 3,000 strong scholarship applicants every year. To address this, we need to raise funds for an additional 100 scholarships annually.
At a time of uncertainty for all, financial limits may prevent many promising students from pursuing higher education. Now more than ever, maintaining our ability to change lives through access to higher education will depend on philanthropic support for scholarships.
By helping to extend the scholarships scheme, you will provide opportunities for a diverse and vibrant student community. You will be changing lives, and enabling our students to improve the lives of many others.
